Over a decade of living away from my homeland, I reach out to people under similar circumstances and discuss how they deal with modern life away from our origins, and how we all maintain our sense of belonging in new environments. *Hiraeth (Hee-raith) is an old Welsh celtic word describing the deep human feelings of homesickness, longing, yearning, belonging to a time, era, or place.
